Funding & questions
The practical bits, answered
Everything else — settling-in, food, nappies, holidays — is in our welcome pack, or just ask.
Do you accept funded hours?+
If your child is 3 or 4, they can get free entitlement from the term after their third birthday — up to 30 hours a week during term time, reduced from their existing hours. We can offer this between 7:30am and 6:00pm, though we can’t provide the entitlement without some paid childcare alongside it.
What if I’m running late for pick-up?+
We don’t want to charge penalties for late collection, and if lateness becomes frequent we’d rather work with you to adjust your scheduled times. If it’s abused, we reserve the discretion to charge £5 per 10 minutes late — but if you think you’re running late, just call us.
How and when do I pay?+
Fees are payable in advance, on the date agreed with you — talk to a member of staff if you need special arrangements. We prefer BACS transfer (bank details are on your invoice), but also accept cheque, cash, Childcare Vouchers and Tax-Free Childcare.
What about nappies and food?+
Nappies need to be provided by you. Food is included in the price for a normal paid session. It works differently in two cases: if your child is on funded hours, or attending for 3 hours or less, meals aren’t automatically included — they may be charged separately, at £4.50 each.
How does school drop-off and pick-up work?+
We service Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy for drop-off and pick-up. Your child is signed in and out, and you get a Yenlio notification each way — we hope to service more local schools in future.
How do settling-in sessions work?+
You’re welcome to as many short visits as your child needs — most families do two or three stay-and-play sessions before the first full morning.
How do I keep up with my child’s day?+
Through the Yenlio app: photos, meals, naps and nappy changes appear in your feed as they happen, and you can message us any time.
